The recently received from my luthier, 1996 D52, is in circulation and the 1986 D66 has been cased. This is like a new guitar with leveled and reshaped frets and new compensated saddle. Didn't play it much before restringing it which is when the issues started. B & E slots in the nut put the new strings within ..008 of the first fret, open strig buzzzzz.

Meant to post this yesterday.
Went to a Guitar Center near where we are staying in Aventura (in the Miami area) to noodle a bit and practice my recital pieces.
The story of my visit there is itself worthy of a separate post.
The expensive instruments are locked away, and many of the available inexpensive guitars were so badly damaged to be unplayable and yet still on display!!!!.
I finally found a Yamaha F370 dreadnought and practiced on it.
I was very surprised by its feel, finish and sound, especially considering it retails for under $400.00 US.
Outstanding value in a low-priced guitar.
Guitar Center as a retail experience? A completely different story.

For the last week it's been my 2012 D50 Standard, which has been my guitar for the past decade, but which I haven't played much since my last solo gig last March. Might there be a reason it's getting so much attention these days? Hmm....

This morning was a battle of the Eastmans. I think I'm going to sell one of these, just haven't completely decided which one. The natural one is an E1SS-LTD limited edition from 2019. Solid adirondack/solid Sapele, satin nitro finish. The red one is an E10SS/v. Solid adirondack, solid Mahogany, varnish finish. Both wearing medium strings.

I like the way the red one sounds. Better clarity and note separation. But I do like the low end of the natural one. You have a tough decision there, good luck!

I may end up just keeping them both. I feel more bonded to the natural one. I've owned it since new. One of the few new guitars I've ever purchased. I would get much more for the red one if I were to sell. The list price is almost double of the E1.

Now I’m down to two guitars it’s time for me to bring out my Mule Resophonic. Total different vibe than my 12 strings.IMG_0832.jpeg

oh I know, I know, it's annoying, but still the same F30r. Oh and the DR 80/20s are still on her, surprised as you might be they have lasted 2 weeks. They are getting even better sounding. I got a set of SIT .11-.50 PBs though arriving tonight. They were so cheap, I had to. But my finger pads are craving the thinner set. I will most likely take the DRs off and put them on the Br, and put the SITs on the F30r. That of course will be a highlight of my day.
