Put some EJ22 mediums on the Tacoma so it’s getting a little play time this morning.
Okay, okay. More beautiful. That looks good, Dave. Less ugly? I'd say more beautiful!
Thank you sir. It's by far the loudest, bassiest and most articulate slope D I've ever played GG. I started to post and old video of me playing a Gibson J45 Custom last night here on LTG, but I couldn't make it post and had to get Krysh to delete it. The Collings CJ and the several J45s I've played aren't even close. I'd like to play an Orpheum Slope D and compare. That's a killer guitar right there! I played one with a red spruce top and it was far louder than any J-45 I've played.
Would be interesting to know which guitar you thought matched up best with that mic. If its possible to choose.Since I got my new Lewitt 440 microphone yesterday, I'll be playing all my guitars through it today. I have decent mics already, but you know how that goes.
We often rent cabins in the Hocking Hills in SE Ohio. ... there are a gazillion of 'em. It's a huge part of the local economy in that area. We do a variety of get-away trips to different properties, and we have been to this particular one a number of times. That sign says, "Fireplace out of use April 15 - Oct 1st." ... so we were goodHey, @MLBob , what's the deal with the sign on the fireplace? Do you rent out the cabin (and not allow fires during that period)? Or, is your memory just bad?
Yes, I once bought that very same Finesse from Richard; actually twice! And always loved its sound. A real subtle build on a dred body.Richard P. Is making positive steps everyday from hip surgery and thought I would play the 1999 Finesse I got from him. Got to be enough good Karma in this Finesse to propel him through the next seven days.
Just a joy to play and hear.
