Good luck on your hunt, I really like mine. If I could change just one thing it would be the neck width since I prefer a little wider neck but I have that problem with my D40 as well.

An acquaintance has a Starfire 3 made in 2000 or 2001, serial number AG301712. The tone changes as the volume is adjusted. Anyone else run into this? Any solutions?
