An acquaintance has a Starfire 3 made in 2000 or 2001, serial number AG301712. The tone changes as the volume is adjusted. Anyone else run into this? Any solutions?

As in, gets bassier/muddier as the volume is turned down? Google treble bleed mod and he can try that. I know we talked about this about a year or so ago, so you could search the forum for that phrase.
