Hello friends and Guild fans alike. I am very proud to announce that my Starfire custom color collection is now complete. The Black, Emerald Green and Amber Starfires are all from 1962. All starfires are IIIs, except the Amberstar which is a SFII. All guitars are original with a few very small exceptions and all are in original cases.
I have never seen a photo like this before but I am sure someone else has to have the same sort of collection. But I will say now and for the record, I am here just to show off these guitars. It took a long time and a lot of cash to make this complete and yes, I want the entire world to know it's mine. So there, I said it. Now lets see some pix. The first shot is a group of all four.
The next shot is just kind of a fun shot and yes I had the door locked so no one would knock them over.
This shot is one just of the Red and Amber starfires to show the true difference in color.
This shot is a closer shot of just the 3 custom colors all from 1962. As you can see the Amberstar is a SFII. You can also see that the chevron logo was used on this pickguard. Maybe it was replaced with an earlier year but pickguard fits the pickups and I don't really care. If I find a star logo pickguard at some point I may change it.
This shot is just the back of all three custom colors which show the grain of the wood nicely through the finishes.
And the last shot is the Starfires in their permanent position on the GWOF. (Guild wall of Fame.
As I said earlier I am very proud of this collection and if I ever end up selling my entire collection off I will never sell these four. Enjoy the shots my friends and thanks. MB
