I'm looking to replace the stock all aluminum bridge on a later Starfire 3 (AG301712) with a roller bridge or other suitable option to help it stay in tune when using the Guildsby. The owner (an acquaintance) brought me a cheap after-market roller bridge to put on it but the carriage that hold the rollers don't fit well, rocking side to side and making a clicking sound - definitely not up to Guild standards and not acceptable.

The new GSR T500 uses a ResoMax bridge. I don't know anything about those but it does not appear that they offer a roller bridge. According to their website the saddles are some sort of a self-lubricating saddle.

Any Recommendations?

I like the Stewart-McDonald roller bridges, but try some Doctor Duck's Nut Sauce on the nut and see if that helps. Sometimes, it's the nut and the way it is cut that is the problem.

I'll take a look at what Stew Mac is offering, I don't recall a roller bridge for archtops. Thanks for the tip on the Doctor Duck.

Old-style Gibson ABR-1 is what I use with Bigsby equipped guitars, and indeed, a well-cut nut with lubrication is usually what helps keeping a Bigsby in tune.

Thank you Walter, I'll look into that as well.
