We've finally received some much needed rain over the past couple of days at the lake... I didn't hear anybody on the SA radio station mention an Austin area twister as I drove in to work. Everything OK?

Everything is fine: a funnel cloud literally passed over the house, with just a bit of hail and an 1 1/2" of rain in 1/2 an hour, so not too bad.
No real damage, though I still need to survey the '49 Lincoln carefully for hail damage.
The Guilds are safe! Phew!

Hey fellers,
Talked with West today. Russ and Mrs RussD also coming down as I understand as well as a dear friend from NC. Coronas now in the frig and margaritas in the freezer. Off to Ninfa's around 5:00 tomorrow; some pickin & grinnin; then back to the Scratch house afterwards. Finally proof how shi$$y a picker I really am. But at age 60... Hell... I don't care...

We had lots of fun last night. Good ole South Texas heat, humidity and music. Jim and Russ were the highlights; man dem dudes can play... Russ & Ms. Russ left Ninfa's around 8:30 to head back to Austin where their son was playing a gig. Jim & Mrs. West came back to the house for a while, then left for Fredrickburg around midnight. Lots of fun and we think we talked Russ into coming to Arlington in October. 145 sleeps... Can't wait...
