I talked to a gentleman today who has had his hands on one of the New Hartford D-55s. From the way he spoke of it, it is everything we expect it to be and more. :D

They should do some sort of limited edition guitar. That looks just like a JF-100. In antique burst.

Put a good word in for me, fellas!!

With LTG as the twelfth fret marker.

Model # FNG-100-LTG-AB special

8) 8) 8)

A F-50 R in sunburst with abalone body and soundhole trim, maple binding, adi top and adi scalloped bracing and Gruhn era fretboard inlays would intrique me.

The new Guilds from Ct. will be awesome. If you ever played or seen a Hamer you will know what to expect. They are on the same page as a Bennadetto. As far as Ovation is concerned they have been a leader in composite instrument construction. I own a few, but hope to get a new Guild someday. I played a D 12, unbelievable! 8)

Hopefully Squig means a Dread 12 string.
I have a hard enough time keeping up with Guild model designations

It was long, long ago in a far off now reconstructed part of my town. It was a Guild 12 string. I am sorry to say I really do not know the model, but I will someday and I hope to play it and maybe own one. Best part I may even work on it!!!!!!!

Hi Squiggie and welcome to LTG. I guess that's about as close as any can get to 'made to be played' ... you made it and then played it ... as good as it can get. CJ

Well folks, If you want a Tacoma D-55 there is only a handfull left at the ware house. My guess is they will be gone early the first morning of NAMM if not before or already.

If you're looking for an Ice tea burst you won't see them any more so find one and latch on to it.
Inventory shows there is possibly one or two both with or with out DTAR but I have a hunch those numbers will change by early tomorrow if they haven't already.

The new price sheets are arriving (in the mail) going in to NAMM but I'm not sure what I have received
before hand is complete so I'm not going to list models here until I receive the printed sheets.

The 09 retail price that takes effect February 1 for a D-55 natural is $3199.99, map is $2499.99.
ATB is plus $50 now which is a change from the past, a difference between colors on the same model but I understand it, being involved in a repair and custom shop where there is finish work done.
That's an increase I'm sure we all have been expecting with the move and we know what production costs are doing.

As we have heard the DV-4 and DV-6 are being built in Ensenada but the price reflects it.

I don't know how many New Hartford D-55s are available to order before the Feb 1 price increase.
That's what they have been building there so I believe some should be available at the late 08 price schedule.

I don't have all the info on models to be produced but I believe from what I've heard there will be less models than previously available.

I'm under orders to not order any of the new stuff for stock until we sell some of the 40-50 that are hanging here now.

Actually, as ridiculous as it sounds, that's what I'm talking about.

I like that idea of the LTG inlay at the 12th fret. be kinda cool.

Fender has to have some of the new New Hartford production at the Guild booth at NAMM.
Somebody get their hands on them and play them and report back.
