Speaking as a representative of The Constitution State, I wholeheartedly agree with Hans.
Plus in New England, "NH" means New Hampshire.

A list of things NH is more likely to signify to someone in Connecticut:
1) The City of New Haven
2) New Hampshire

That would be an interesting way to look at it but there ain't no Kamans left there, (just one in spirit, and he visits from time to time).

And in spoken language it's just 3 syllables: new-hart-ford.
Pretty much the same as Hoboken, Westerly, Corona, Tacoma.
