So, so sorry to hear.
Glad you've at least got unemployment comp...hopefully that will carry you thru.
Lost everything a long time ago, and, as a lady, it's impossible to climb back out of the hole. Try thinking about what you can do to be self-employed...it's harder to fire yourself.
The networking suggestion is great, especially re: the LTG family here.
Speaking of which: I'd been holding on to the hope of networking for employment within the music industry at NAMM again this January...what better place to do so...and got the same editorial assignment I've had the last 10 years covering NAMM...and this year NAMM decided to limit access to only a chosen few 'invited' BIG media outlets
that leaves me out in the cold.
I have contacted some of the previous year's exhibitors in the hopes of trading part time booth work for access...no luck so far. So, if anyone knows anyone at NAMM who's going to be shortstaffed due to the expenses of bringing employees from out of the area...I'm local...I've got trade show sales experience...and I know the NAMM floor real well. Non-exhibiting NAMM members can also obtain badges. Note: you cannot 'borrow' someone else's badge...they DO check ID closely. So, LTG family, let me know if anyone can help.
Dread, just hang in there...and think outside the box.
