The problem with Boston is that the street layout was designed for horses by an insane city planner high on mushrooms in the 1600s.
TRUE!! I've never been there but I've looked at street maps. I have a meme I'd post showing street maps of both places saying, "New York, because we want you to know where you're going and how to get there. Boston, because F YOU!!"

Due to the language, I'll refrain from posting but it always makes me laugh!!

Oh, I’ve seen it. :)

My daughter went to school in Boston so I’ve got four years of driving up and back and all around the city while there. The only way it could possibly make since is with a suitable application of mushrooms.

I love Boston, but driving there is not fun and I’ve driven in cities all over the country, though I will say that the only city I’ve visited where I did not drive at all was Las Vegas.

My 21 year old daughter got in trouble with a big cop in Logan airport. Boston is famous for cops with bad attitudes. Well, famous with me at least.

In NYC if you make four right turns, you're right back where you started. If you do that in Boston, you're nowhere near where you started.

I moved to the area in 1977. It took me two years of driving here before I started to feel like I -- sort of -- understood the layout.

In addition to the original old horse trails that became streets, you also have a circuitous river running between Cambridge and Boston and the streets have to follow its geography.

It can be maddening, but I do love it here!

I've driven through Boston many times over the past several decades, but no way do I have a idea where I am if I get off of the main roads. It used to require a lot of guesswork, it is easier today - thank God for Google maps!

And don't get me started on detours from what apparently is never ending construction!
