I worked in a corporate HES (health, environment, and safety) group for about 8 years and even though I'm not a "safety" expert, I was expected to be able to identify unsafe conditions in facilities. Please be safe when you're working around your home. I think I get stabbed by a string at least once while changing strings on guitars. Twice if it's a 12-string.

Anyway, here are a few more extreme examples of unsafe practices and then I promise I'll stop. :giggle:

He shows amazing ability, but I have to wonder how he will get down from that position.

No need to stop, I like it!

Please always be aware of the dangers in your leisure time, too. Many threats there as well, not only household and work!

Always act responsibly and make sure you and your beloved ones are save, especially as a father who wants to show your kids the beauty of the mountains.

Quite a nasty late winter storm on Lake Superior's Northshore.

Guilty. I was in Dublin and as I crossed the street I noticed the cathedral at the far and and the light was just perfect so I stopped, grabbed the camera and started shooting only to have my friend grab my by the arm and haul me out of traffic.

Risking life and limb for the perfect photo is totally acceptable. Doing it to change a lightbulb or paint a wall is lunacy.

I think it's Husqvarna, but one of the big chainsaw manufacturers said that "Instructions & Safety" for saws sold in their country were one printed sheet. The ones exported to USA were over 15 pages front and back exactly because of illustrations like above. They can't expect people to not be stupid. And if a lawsuit happens because of not warning people about the stupidity, they can be held accountable. Welcome to the USA.

When we rented jet skis in Phuket, Thailand on the beach of the resort, we handed them 500 Bhats and they said, "Grab one and go! Be back in an hour or so." I thought, "If this was the USA we'd have identification to be xeroxed, credit cards to run and forms to fill out and waivers to sign and at least 15 minutes of paperwork before they'd let you even look at a jet ski." Just goes to show you something......

Those photos make me hyperventilate, says the person who uses a bamboo footstool balanced on a dining room chair to change a light bulb.

Not talking about unsafe electrical installations like in some hotel bathrooms in Asia and South America:

Or the neat wiring in some countries, here in Vietnam for instance:

It's unbelievable how he is standing on those meter boxes but also how he put his safety belt around the pole with all the wires under it!
How the heck did he even climb up there?

There are plenty such images of workers actually woring on such wiring on Alarmy:
