He'll second that. :D

I don't know. People often say I'm a "smart" something, but it's not usually "fella."

You can add me to the list too!

I've bought mine from drunkenguitarist. It's a reissue from 97 or 98, can't remember. Here it is with my brother-in-law Guild guitars (and my old DeArmond M-72).

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

It's simply the best guitar I've ever had.

Pwal,

I'll add you and tele4tone to my S-100 owners spreadsheet as soon as he confirms his serial number. I'm a pseudo stickler for years. What's the number on yours, so we can determine if its a 1997 or 1998.

It looks like it F3000778. And as drunkenguitarist list his 97 S-100 in his signature, then I must have his old 98 S-100.

And is there a Bluesbird owners roster too? Because I'm about to seal the deal on this nice 2000 goldtop Bluesbird.

I got the price down to 950 $ (CND). I'm just waiting for the sellers confirmation.

A serial of FB000778 would make it a 1998. Thanks again.

Correctly reading the serial number chart hardly puts me in the same as Hans, but I'll take the compliment even though one was not intended.

When you post some photos, we'll have our S-100 experts (i.e. Qvart and Hammer) offer up their best guesses on a year. Until then, you're on the list. Congrats again.

Snap a shot of the back of the headstock from an angle with some flash and it should show up...anything lighting that will cause shadows should work. If not, you could, uh...always send it to me and I'll give it a look...I promise to send it back!

I meant that the online lists stop at '97 and we've all relied on Hans for accurately dating post-'97 Guilds.

You forgot to fill the cells in your row with Cool Kids Club yellow shading.

Re: Very rudimentary S-100 owners roster

I didn't want to draw attention to myself.

Seriously, though, out of respect to you, Dane and Qvart, guys who earned your "cool" status over time, I decided to withhold my yellow shading of "cool kid" status for the time being. I may have three S-100 but I'm still not as cool as you guys yet. 8) Plus, we were light on DeLuxes on the list and I didn't want Matsickma's cherry DeLuxe to feel lonely. I'm always thinking of others, you know.
