"Moody River" is a song written by and originally performed by country rockabilly singer Chase Webster (real name Gary Daniel Bruce, not to be confused with Gary Bruce of The Knack).

Pat Boone recorded and released his own version in May 1961, where it reached number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart the following month.[1] This was the title track from one of Boone's better-selling albums. Boone sang this song as if he were in pain.

Yes!!!And RIP Art Rupe, boss of Specialty rec. who passed away aged 104....1960es R'n'B makes you live longer!!!
Interestingly-or not?- "Art Rupe" is very close to the french"Art rupestre" which means "Rock Art", and that goes directly in my "Useless funny info file" (I don't know what Art Garfunkel means, though, but I'm still digging..)(I've always mistakne Daniel & Pat as far as Boones are concerned..('Scuse me, I'm french, and we don't know them much over here..)(Sorry again, I just received a truckload of brand new glittering brackets, I use them everywhere!) Dreadnut's "Pat Boone singing that song is just wrong" somehow works with any song.(That's mean!!And Daniel was the one with the long rifle!!)
