I have this STUDER 980 mixing console in our living room - I worked 5 days and cut it shorter - now it is only 2 meters wide - about 6'8"
About everybody who saw it asked - what does your wife think about it? - and they hardly believe when I reply - She aked if that would be a good place for it. . . .
Moral of the story - be good to others - they might be good to you, too
No good pics of the desk - but The Kid is playing with a small desk, that's laying on the STUDER desk.
