Just caught this yesterday On YouTube. A very old 24 minute Bee Gees interview. they do two songs, with just two D55s. No pick, just open handed Strumming. I could hear the deep rosewood right away. Also I could hear the chimes of the trebles, I guess from their fingernails. Not bad for an old video and no mics on the guitars. Made me wish I had a D55.

Not going through the past 82 pages, perhaps someone has this info and an image at hand...

Doing some reading on The Kinks, during an early US tour, perhaps the one in which they were effectly "banned" by the musicians' union from playing in the US (things have repercussions when you punch the union rep three times in the face), Dave Davies was playing a black Starfire...according to wherever I was reading it, built for George Harrison...but it was stolen just before or in LA before their concert. It was then that he got the Gibson Flying-Vee to play the gig. First time I ever saw them on TV back then, he was playing the Flying Vee, in an odd way with his right arm through the vee (Shindig?). That aside, anyone got any images of Dave Davies with the Guild. Supposedly that is the "Really Got Me Now" guitar...

The guitar you are referring to was a Guild DE-500 Special.
