Yea he’s got that guitar up high right under his arm pit. I ride’m high sometimes, the big advantage is his chord hand is just under his eyes and in his peripheral. If you need to see your fingers make chord changes it’s a big help without turning your head. I try not to look down at my hand because it distracts from singing. I’m too old to hang my guitar down to my knees anymore, some things were best left in the 1980’s.
Hey I’ve seen this photo a couple of times before, however I just noticed that guitar has a mahogany neck. I always thought that was an F50 and not an F40. I know a lot of early F40s, G30s and a couple other maples had mahogany necks. But I don’t think I’ve seen an early F50 with mahogany other than the newer Corona and Standard series. I’m thing now this is a smaller F40, looks like standard block inlays as well. ??
