Not my favorite, my favorite is It's A Beautiful Day playing "White Bird" at Tanglewood in '70 (posted elsewhere but I could link it again on request....:)) featuring the most magnificent Bluesbird playing I've ever heard, only because it's longer than the solo in the Youngbloods' "Darkness Darkness".

But this one just fits here, the Seekers' '68 Farewell concert featured an F50. Seems like F50's were getting a lot of promotion around that time, with the Clapton catalog cover being a prime example:

Oh what the heck, here's "White Bird" again, since this is my favorite vid featuring a Guild (sorry Richie):

Love "White Bird" and the band -- saw them in the Orlando area back in the early 70s. Never noticed the guitar player was playing a Guild !

The late great Berry Oakley, bassist and founding member of the Allmans Brothers, was seen almost exclusively with his Fender Jazz bass loaded w/ a Guild (Hagstrom) Bisonic bass pickup....known as "The Tractor Bass".

But...on the rare occasion, he was also seen w/ this.

Wow! That's news. Who would have thought? My claim to fame is that I had the same music teacher as both the Allmans. That's sort of painting a picture, though, because he taught me music history -- he taught them in high school here in Daytona (band, and something else). They formed the "Allman Joys" band back then.

Posted lots of stuff from Bill/Buffalo Tom over the years. One of my favourite bands. I think he has had that JF30 (or a similar one) since the early 90s at least.

FUN FACT: Bill Janovitz' main gig these days is selling houses in my town.

Yeah, I know, I think I have posted that myself somewhere on here. He's also written a couple of books on the Rolling Stones.

I have probably mentioned it before but Buffalo Tom ruined my life! :ROFLMAO: I hadn't played guitar for 3 months & then ended up seeing them here in Sydney just when Let Me Come Over came out ("Velvet Roof" got me interested). They were so great & inspired me so, that next day I played guitar for 3 or 4 hours straight (through a 100W Fender Vibrasonic, loud!) & somehow ended up with another original song when trying to work out Velvet Roof. That started me on the road to playing in bands again & spending $20k & much time on recording my own album, and concentrating on all that instead of a career. But seriously , they didn't ruin my life & am happy that I discovered them & on the subsequent turn of events that occurred.

Buffalo Tom are one of my favourite bands, seen them about 5 times, last time was night before my gall bladder operation, March 2008 I believe. I wish they would come over again...
