Interesting how the organ just appears! Did they set it up between sets as it's nowhere to be seen in the first photo!
I was wondering that too. Wasn't sure it was the same gig at first, but the rest of the setup appears unchanged. Check out Joe's Maestro FZ-1 fuzz tone, and some sort of monoblock for the PA amp. What's the big preamp the bass player is plugged into?

I'm not sure the bass player is plugged into that thing. The suitcase doesn't seem to have any sonic purpose and the other box makes me think of what passed for a PA head/mixer back in the day.

"I was there. ... Their P.A. consisted of two Electro-Voice horns mounted on tri-pod stands with a home-made mixer head not anything more than a 100 watt Bogen Challenger p.a. amp. The Fender amps were provided by their sponsor- Henry's Music and Jewelry in Akron, Ohio. Their sound man also provided some of his own home-made equipment (note: see the amplifier on the far right which was dubbed "Super Measle"). The violin bass played by Bobby Sepulveda is a Hofner copy made by Klira. Joe is playing his Guild Starfire and Larry Lewis is playing Joe's blond Rick."

Nice....my eyes were instantly drawn to that backline of sweet Fenders. After many years of looking, I still have yet to find a pic of Walsh w/ the James Gang or prior playing the 59 burst he sold to Jimmy Page for $500 in April of 69.

Is this it? circa 1971...I like this video as it's not the typical intro to this song.

Thanks. I was guessing that Bobby was using the preamp of the Bogen as additional tone/boost control, and that there were two coily cords there - one in, one out, but I guess it was just stretched out.

You can see a long coily cord coming out of the Super Measle, and extending beyond the frame. I'm guessing that's for the organ, which was moved in closer for the second photo.

No, that is a modified Les Paul Deluxe from 1969/1970.

The one Midnight Toker is looking for is this one with some very specific maple lines, like fingerprints there is only one. She was already refinished by Joe Walsh (EDIT: not the top but only the neck was shaved down to be slimmer) and hence had no serial number anymore when he sold her to Jimmy Page in 1969. Most experts believe she is either from late 59 or early 60.
