I sure miss Robert's partner Grant McLennan. He had a wonderful string of solo records before he died in 2006.

I saw the Go Betweens many times live down here in Oz, mostly at clubs. Always pretty wonderful. A quintessential Australian band. Grant was a great talent, taken away from us far too soon. He was the one who explored the more sensitive side of their music. Together with more quirky Robert, they made a wonderful team. Damn they were good! I need to explore Grant's solo stuff more.

Grant wrote some of my favourite lyrics from Love Goes On!

Only fully understood them when I broke up with my long distance American girlfriend, then they hit me like a ton of bricks!
