Now playing: my newly restrung GF30, GF50 and GF60.

I got 'em all at different times, years apart, and while I knew that I really liked them all, I'm only now getting around to actually A / B'ing (or rather A / B / C'ing!) them.
Awesome, Glenn. We'll need a debrief from you after the A/B/C comparo!

Diana (F-40 GSR) takes a turn. Pardon the messy guitar room.

I think it is a beautiful guitar room--in fact, I think I see 13 reasons I like it.
Hahahaha. And magic number 14, the Surfliner, isn't even there. :D That remains parked in my living room. Yeah, it's not getting enough humidity, but I like having it handy for an easy grab during TV.

Today I used my Guild 8 string Baritone for my show at an assisted living home.
I ran it through a DI/per amp box into my Bose S1 Pro speaker.
The guitar sounded awesome.

As I have said before, I use medium gauge strings and tune D to D with the baritone.
I get a lot of compliments when I use this guitar.
I also get a few people asking me just what it is. LOL

I thought I'd have a definite favorite, but they're each different, and each are really nice sounding guitars.

Just so I'm comparing apples to apples, I put new D'Addario EJ17s on all of 'em, and tuned 'em to: C#, E, G#, C#, G#, C#, a new tuning I've been fooling with lately.

The GF30 is similar in sound to the F50 (not surprising -- both are archback models, maple sides and back), but I seem to prefer it to the F50. (I A/B'd the GF30 and my F50 a few years back and sold my F50.)

The GF50 accentuates the mid-range, while the GF60 seems to have slightly more pronounced trebles, and *maybe* more bass, though I'm not sure about that. It may be that the pronounced mids are tricking my ear.

Nice, congrats! I've never played an Eastman 12er. It sure looks nice, enjoy!
Very hard to fault it - nice response - comfortable neck - great finish - good volume - nice 6-latch hard case.
Tuners are smooth but ratio is a tad fast, more like 12:1 but they work fine.
Strangely these come with 12-53 D'Addario EJ-39 strings from factory but I got dealer to fit Martin Retro Monels 10-47 which I liked on 6-string mahogany guitars in the past .. but no doubt I'll try different strings over time!
Action is tiny bit too high at the nut, I'll play a few more weeks and get a pro set-up .. there's plenty of saddle height to work with too.

I don't want to upset you guys - this is a fabulous forum - but I bought a new jumbo 12-string acoustic guitar last week ... and it's not a Guild.
Eastman AC330E.

It's no F-512 or 412 ... but it is very impressive and outstanding value.
Brucebubs,
We have an authorized Eastman dealer here in Toronto (the high-end Twelfth Fret), and their Chinese-made guitars are excellent in every way, while costing much less than their domestically produced competitor's products.
You've made an excellent choice. Smartly done!
