Yeah, but do you want to save half a buck that bad???
No, I was wondering if a dedicated USPS worker may have walked over hill & dale, 8 hours per day for 19 days, to personally deliver that Christmas card to our mailbox!

Ah, no. They would have paid overtime for him to get it there quicker.

Ok, I've reviewed enough that I can make a general statement.
If you see a repeated "in transit" notification on your tracking number, over the course of several days, your item is still at the last processing facility mentioned. The "in transit", is because the system assumes it is in a trailer, going to the next processing facility. When it mentions the plant name and location, that is when the container your parcel is in was physically scanned by someone. This was never an issue before, as packages are normally sorted in less than 24 hours, then sent on their way. So, if it hasn't gotten to the next plant in the time that a truck would take to drive there, assume that the package is waiting to be processed, and we will do our best to get it to you as soon as possible. Air cargo space seems to have been freed up, as I was getting priority Mail boxes from fairly distant in the last few days, and they were pretty much on time.
YMMV, my experience in the greater Philly area.

Thanks for looking into it.
Applying that information to the entries below - the guitar or the container in which it was traveling
was scanned January 4. Guitar or container may have left the building (Hazelwood MO Regional Distribution Center?)
and may be in a trailer outside the plant.

In Transit, Arriving Late
Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way.
It is currently in transit to the next facility.

It is still at the plant. If it had left, you would have seen either an "arrival at unit" or another processing plant. The "in transit" is the system reporting it has not been updated with a new location.

One month & 11 days to travel across only a fraction of this country?!?

Good grief.
Yes. It's bad situation, and every processing facility is still jacked. This time of year is usually quite light, package-wise, and I'm hoping we can use that to get the backlog out. USPS has retained all the seasonal help, and we are trying to get everything out. It's country-wide.

For the click adverse, they charged the PO to transport non-corporeal parcels overseas.

I've recently sent a package to another town of the same state and my bro had to wait for 3 months to receive it, haha. Insane! And the situation is getting worse with every year. It's definitely not just because of the covid because they were very slow in 2019 too. I'm much more satisfied with overseas shipping than in-country traveling. For example, I had to get some automatic parts from Japan and used china post tracking number services. I thought that I'm gonna wait for years for them to arrive, but they arrived in 30 days (the distance is huge)! That's a very good result tbh. I wish our companies were that fast.

They used to be my shipper of choice for both timing and cost reasons. I now try not to use them if possible. Fed Ex and UPS aren't perfect by any means but they are pretty reliable when it comes to delivery timing.
