They pay once you supply a tracking number, which indicates the item has been sent. It usually takes a few days for the money to show up, though, and they mention that.
Not just the tracking number, but when it shows that it’s in the carrier’s hands.

The tracking I have access through work is more granular than the public-facing implementation.

I’m running into a similar problem but am on the receiving end. Was supposed to arrive yesterday but is MIA. Tracking shows the guitar was dropped off on Aug5 in PA then says it’s on its way to the next stop. Trail ends there. No check in at the next stop. Checked with my local branch and they can’t tell where it went or where it is. Very frustrating.

A couple months ago I bought Rich Cohen's F312.

I mailed him a check on a Tuesday (via First Class) that the clerk at the PO said should be there that Friday.

More than a month later it finally showed up.

On the other hand, I shipped my Detonator to Steve (Default) on Friday, and despite the infamously vague “In Transit, expected late” tracking, it was delivered to his station on Monday.

Did you just out someone who is so busy delivering mail that they haven't given us a NGD yet?

:)

If we don't get a video of Steve in spandex abusing that trem to some Motley Crue, I will be quite put out.

The guitar showed up yesterday, buyer overjoyed (means you did everything right), coincidentally I received notice of payout from Reverb, so all's well that ends well.

It took exactly 1 week coast to cast, chalk it up to all manners of current events.

Go USPS.

Can't be without it.

We're very rural, we really can't be without it.

Well, not looking good for me folks - 7 days coming from PA to MA Priority and nobody knows where it is. Plus, given this excessive heat I am concerned that a “like new guitar” baking in an oven for a week is going to do some damage that will show up down the road. Wondering if I should submit for a refund and reject it if it does eventually show.

Consider carefully before shipping a guitar USPS in the current situation as
the perfect shipping storm continues.

Fwiw Tulsa is approximately 6 hours from me.

I have never seen it like this in my 30 years. Our system is based on minimal storage (in one side of the plant, right out to the shipping side) and overtime to cover the heavy days, but this is disheartening. Once this holiday week is over, though, I fully expect the floodgates to be released. I suspect that things will be bad until the end of March, or until we can get enough people vaccinated to carry the workload down at the plants, country-wide.
