Just found this quote re the Snipe-hunt like search for Hoffa and what happened, hilarious and most likely truth:

"Somewhere in America, there's a guy who knows where Jimmy Hoffa is buried — but you'll never get him to talk.
Somewhere in America, there are 20,000 guys who don't know where Jimmy Hoffa is buried — and you'll never get them to shut up."

"Over the past four decades, Jimmy Hoffa has been reported as buried under a barn, under a swimming pool, on the site of the old Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands, under a driveway, and in the foundations of the General Motors headquarters in Detroit. "

ah, so your take is the whole burying story is bull?
interesting. have you heard of alternate theories to Hoffa's demise and disappearance?
i would love to know.
i just find the whole Hoffa story super interesting...

Hoffa was whacked because he wanted to take back control of the Teamsters after his stint in prison. The mob had taken control of the union, so he had to go.

Like I said, he was chopped up and ground into dog food.

I don't know what happened to Hoffa, and don't really care. But I would bet whoever whacked Hoffa made sure no one will ever know.

Nothing personal, just business.

Everyone was talking about Hoffa burgers in Michigan in 1975, Another Rumer was he buried in the foundation of the Remanence Center. It was a long way to haul him from Detroit to NJ.

Watching all the old mob movies and stuff on people like Richard Kuklinski it seemed like in that kinda life you could very well be dead at any given moment.

and that is what i dont get....why would you drive the body all the way to NJ? Michigan's a huge state, lots of open space available to hide stuff...

I cannot reveal my source but word is that after the deed was done they needed to know with certainty that the body would never be found, so it was packed into the requisite number of generic guitar, bass, and/or banjo cases and the case(s) were in turn packed into guitar, bass, and/or banjo cardboard shipping boxes with brand names on the boxes clearly visible. These were taken to UPS where they were sent to an undisclosed address or addresses. The boxes never arrived at their destination(s). UPS has no knowledge of what became of them during shipping.

That makes sense.

Actually, they were USPS Priority Flat Rate boxes.

"if it fits, it ships" ;]
Probably got the surgical saw out to save a lil cash on shipping. And I don’t believe they have human sized flat rate boxes.

Nope, just Small, Medium and Large ;]

There was actually a guy years back - in Canada? - who sent some severed parts in the mail, something to do with an ex lover?

There is this movie - begins with a scene of a dim room with bunch of meat going down into "system" - a glimpse of the body is seen - then they follow pipes etc - and finally someone hushes the worker away from the unit, that puts out sausages - he takes about 5 pounds of them - wraps them and drives to deliver them to someone as a message.

Can't find it - but if Hoffa ended like that, there will never ever be no telling about it.

The Godfather had it right, just use a horse's head so no one gets killed, but your message still gets across...
