This album, Love is Dead, was my introduction to The Mr. T Experience. I was visiting a college town, and at that time record stores still existed. College town record stores were always great sources of new music, so I was hitting every one of them that day, and this CD was playing in one of the stores. I immediately bought it. They also have a song titled "Love is Dead," but it's not on this album; it's on the next one, Revenge is Sweet and So Are You.

That particular trip was very productive for me in terms of new music. In addition to Love is Dead, I also first heard The Orb and the Replicants, and picked up Nanci Griffith's Flyer, which remains one of my desert island selections to this day.
