I’d feel safer in the bucket of that backhoe than I would on that ladder, though it looks like the ladder guy is tied to the bridge so I’m sure it’s fine. Actually I bet they tied the ladder. Wouldn’t want to lose a nice ladder.Bridge work

I suspect they tied the ladder but it really looks like the guy has the rope around his neck. Yeah, I'd rather be in the bucket assuming the bucket operator has many years accident free experience.
Husband has me work the tractor bucket while he's in it so he can reach limbs with his chainsaw. He has far more faith in my equipment operating skills than I do.

Knew a guy who worked for a state version of OSHA investigating accident scenes. Some of the gruesome stuff he described seemed to come straight out of cartoons. People are unbelievably reckless.

Many moons ago, a friend and I changed the transmission on a Fiat by rolling it on its side in a hospital parking lot,
where it had broken down.
I had said, "You're kidding, right?", and he said, "Nope, it'll roll right on its side."
It did, we pulled the tranny, threw the old one in a dumpster, bolted in the spare he had brought with him, dropped it down on four

Imagine being in the hospital and looking out the window. Must have been quite a sight!
