And LOTS of sandpaper!!!!!Investments so far:
1 mini toggleswitch
1 small can of paint
Ordered two knobs: vol tone, that go to 9…
Yes, a common issue, read for instance here:Qustion to anyone out there in guild country:
The bridge has some movement it sort of toggles a little forwards/backwards
It seems the metal in the lug that holds it has some wear.
Anyone experience this?
Another option is to finish with Renaissance wax. I built a rosewood partscaster about 10 years ago and just used this wax. It feels great, doesn’t leave finger prints all over when you use it like some wax does and it just gives it a certain organic vibe. I really like it. Pictures below after 10 years. Still looks good! (Sorry, no Guild content )Could you do a hand rubbed tung oil and fine scotch brite pad polish finish on that like some Rickenbacker guitars have? That wood looks nice!
I had the same issue and solved it with some copper tape. Check this thread for some pictures: https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/my-1974-s-100.200805/page-2#post-1894389Qustion to anyone out there in guild country:
