Except a kid can't have a full pot of balloons on the ready. And if on the go, convenience stores don't have balloon counters.

I've yet to see a crying kid drive themselves to a supermarket and pay for a balloon w/ their own money. That's one of the privileges of adulthood...the bottomless cup'o coffee.

I went out for dinner at a nice generic restaurant last night. I didn't mind cooking at home, but I didn't want to do the clean up without running water. I had a very nice clubhouse sandwich on sourdough with fires and a side salad, along with a pint of a decent enough IPA.

On the way back home, I had the radio on. I wasn't really listening to it, but then something caught my attention. A male voice on the radio asked a question I didn't know the answer to. "If a synchronised swimmer drowns, do they all have to drown?"

While I could not answer the question, it did produce a flashback. In my youth, I was a competitive swimmer for a while (crawl and butterfly strong points,), and I dated a girl who was a synchronised swimmer. She was very nice. She eventually dumped me because we were the same age and because I suffered from both immaturity and testosterone poisoning. I was hurt at the time, but, looking back now, I don't really blame her. I wonder whatever happened to her. I hope she didn't drown and take her team with her.
