I was thinking that the "adhesive isle" would be like one of those cardboard pop-up cockroach hotels, scaled up to island size, the resort you'll never want to leave, the last resort.

Our fake tree doesn't smell like anything. Our last real tree didn't either.

p.s. My wife decided to keep out tree up all year and simply changed the ornaments to match the season. I was not consulted.

I don't know how many times, when I was a kid, that I got zapped by tinsel if I walked too close to the Christmas tree. I hated that!
