I have a Univox from Florida that has "Petty" etched on the back.
Not sure if it was owned by Tom or Richard...
Lol
I had a Traynor Bass head - small - that had N. SIXX painted inside, BIG LETTERS. Got it from this wheeler dealer friend of mine who liked to avoid NW winters by driving to Florida and hanging out at these huge flea markets in his RV, this has been a while now and he's long passed away. Anyway, he said he got it in LA from Nikki Sixx's roadie who was peddling gear that had obviously been upgraded, no offense to Traynor, at all. I traded a Dodge Colt wagon that was starting to smoke, good trade ;]
When I got rid of it, traded it in at a famous local pawnshop for something else, they were aholes about it, even tho the head wasn't worth much in those days, it was like I had wrote that in there myself to try to make it worth more.
My guess is if you interviewed Nikki Sixx, I have no doubt he owned it.
Who the H would put someone else name inside an amp?
Home Sweet home, Kickstart My Heart, Looks That Kill, Smokin in the Boys Room, wow, what a band. Who knows, with provenance, that head could be worth a lot now. Might be worth more if Sixx had checked out, but no matter how hard he tried, he's still here. I remember reading that he claimed to have OD'd like a dozen times. Heroin. One time, they had to use two syringes of adrenaline, and he was clinically dead for 2 minutes, but he could still play bass afterwards ;]
What does that say about playing bass, in Motley Crue?
Lol
