My cans are better than your cans:

GasCans.jpg

Read all about them from one of the most hit articles I've ever written: https://www.gad.net/Blog/2012/11/22/one-mans-quest-for-gas-cans-that-dont-suck/
Good blog!

The first bag was leaking so she double bagged it?

Yup. Her car probably reeked of gasoline and exposed her to all kinds of toxic volatile organic compounds (people forget that gasoline isn't just flammable, it's toxic, too).

(See Nuuska's post above, #12)

I guess I should be thankful that my genetics and/or my education have been such that I am able to be in such extreme disbelief that anyone anywhere could possibly be so, ahem, "uninformed" as to even consider any such thing, much less actually do it!!

Which brings us to another potential lawsuit. We'll go after the education system for failing to teach students not to put gasoline into plastic bags!

And how about the DMV for not having it on the written driver's test?

One of the few times where NJ's ban on self-service fueling is nice to have.

I use these: 5 gallon for the portable generator, 2.5 gallon for the lawn mower, 1 gallon for 2-stroke premix. Got rid of my plastic gas cans after seeing one too many YouTube video of plastic cans in flames.

Really? You can't pump your own gas in NJ?

Nice can.

Human intelligence may have hit its peak a while back.

That cold snap in TX; "Largest Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Event in US History".

I read an article that went like this;

?Kids were playing in the snow for the first time, and it was cold." Dude wondered if they were going to call him in to work.

Anyway, it was so cold, he started the car in the garage (where I come from, this is how you say goodbye) "to warm the house up".

I could just stop right there. "And millions of others did the same or ran BBQ's in their houses"...

Anyway, our hero notices his Mom slumped at the kitchen table. Wouldn't be that car running in the garage, could it be?

Him being devout and all, he runs into the other room to get some Holy Water, and splashes it on Mom's face. No effect.

He then notices his kids are puking and passing out.

So he thinks to himself "Hey, I wonder if those eggs I made for breakfast had gone bad?".

Really?

I'll stop there because that's where I stopped reading.

Fearing for the future of humankind...

When I saw the pic if the gas in bags, as a NJ resident my first thought was, “Who would have done that for them?”

If all that gas sloshes onto your car trunk can you ever get the stink out? Especially with gallons worth of fuel?
I wonder if some of these people returned home and found it’s time for a new car. I wonder if their auto insurance would cover it. Indubitably not. So then some of these people will be needing new cars in the next day or so? A costly lesson to learn.
