Hi Carol, you just need to have the feeling that you've done something to help the over whelming/guilt of all those musical instruments that you can't fit into your life schedule. You'll manage, I promise. For I too share in some of the seeming insurmountable chaos of having to justify too many instruments, You have a way cool collection, and I have several more than I need. I even bought an old Anjo the other day...$20. High action, but maybe good for slide??? (plus it came with a soft gig bag that I can use for my newly acquired d25) And also have a yamaha keyboard that I know too little about. So while I struggle to deal with my own dilemmas, typicallly, its easier to solve someone elses' problem/situation, and I have the perfect solution...not for me..............for you!!! Sell one of the tin whistles. Your friend in spirit.....Steffan :D

Made you smile?! 8)

Me - I'm collecting capos - easier to hide from the wife  Already got a Kyser and G7th (plus someting old and primitive I don't know what it is and never use), and now I've just bought the G7th equivalent of the Kyser - the 'Nashville'. Nice - I like it

I'm moving as well (renting a house right now) and actually asked my uncle on Sunday if I could keep 25 or so of my guitars at his house! (don't want them around when people are viewing the house to rent it)

As soon as we buy our new house, all 30 or so that I have are going right back where they belong. . .by my side!

Carol,

I hope you choose to keep your D35. I like what a lot of folks have said here.

I recently pruned one of the guitars from my "collection" that I wasn't playing much. I felt guilty about having such a nice guitar and not using it. To some degree, I regret selling it, but mostly because the guy I sold it to just flipped it and took advantage of my low price. It was not a special guitar to me, and so I don't regret selling it for sentimental reasons; that would really hurt!

You could list your guitar on eBay or try to sell it here for a price that makes you comfortable. I'm not too sure about Guilds, but I haven't seen the price fall-off on Taylors that others were mentioning earlier. If you don't get what you're looking for, keep it! :)

Strategically speaking, the Guild factory move this year may impact pricing structure in the future. It's anyone's guess what that means to the used market, but maybe holding onto your D35 until that settles out could be good.

Hey, some guys do big fishing boats, some guys chase wild women, some guys do alcohol, some guys do drugs......we do Guilds. I don't feel guilty at all....and I can't get enough.

West

Well, some of us might knock off quite a few in that list... but I don't feel guilty, and I can't get enough, either, darn it!
