There is an EKO-brand guitar for sale locally. Seller describes it to be in perfect condition - just needs new strings.

Fender's Custom Shop solved the issue of better reaching the upper frets slightly different on the Telecaster:

I thought it was because the bolt was no longer tight in the inset nut in the neck, and this was a way to give it more traction.
Unless these are wood screws. In which case filling the old screw hole with a dowel and making a new hole would have been an easier solution.

Our mistake may be in trying to think things through logically. Logic may have had nothing to do with it!
