I saw the one on the treble side. Thought is was a pickguard holeThere's also a pair on either side of the neck.

Those are tone screws. Kind of like the rivets in a ride cymbal.I've seen that guitar before.
The part that really confuses me is, what at the two screws just past the leftmost and rightmost knobs?
Perfect setup for "world music".
Yeah, Nuuska... There's definitely a purpose to these mods, ugly as it is, and it really be interesting to know what it was used for and how someone would play it.[ . . . ]
Would REALLY like to hear what music the owner creates - might be a VERY positive surprise
New opinion about monster in #263
It was originally bass
Found video where it is used - have to admit, that though I'm fairly open-minded when it comes to experimental music, this is nothing to my taste . . .
If I saw a woman playing it I could see it as a punky reclamation of male tropes about female sexuality. If I saw a dude playing it I’d be very suspicious about him.OK, this doesn't really count as a "mod," as it's purpose built, but I'm still horrified. By the object in general, and the fact that somebody tooled up to make it.
[no, I didn't go looking for this, it came up in a sidebar when looking at the T-250 that was posted earlier]
