Bob, I totally *love* the new -512 faceplate, slotted tuner posts, and butterbean buttons.... what do you think? ebony or rosewood?? God that's gorgeous

edit: the website says it's ebony. Yum!

Not a Guild, it's the first effort of a friend who has become a luthier in his retirement. Ths one he calls "The Cherokee" , and the inlay is made from several different woods. Afterward, he said he'd learned a lesson - keep it simpler! This one was pretty tough. Looks great, though. He's made well over a dozen other guitars since then. Each one gets better; all have a custom inlay on the headstock, representing some interest of the owner.
