Hans, any idea why they went with G-75 as a model number? Seems like an odd choice.

I know what it is and like I said in my earlier posting, it's made of parts that were leftover from the Spring Hill facility. The Nashville Custom Shop did a few of those with both cutaway and non-cutaway bodies and various body woods.

Got it! Thanks Hans! The body shape confused me, which isn't hard to do.

Since I'm not familiar with the flexibility in a custom shop I assume when it's stated that there were only 6 it meant 6 of the exact same model build. Ie all dreadnaughts.

Oh wow, that is a cool looking guitar, I guess you might just have to buy both @richt54 ! Ha, or at least see if you can get a shot of the back and sides :)

Since only one source that I can find makes the 6 claim, we have no real idea what the basis is.

Welcome! From your description I would say you have one of the early Custom Shop guitars that were done in Nashville. These were actually made with leftover bodies from the Fender Spring Hill facility. Most of these early guitars are 'one-of-a-kind' models that were basically put together to build an interest for the Guild Custom Shop, which had just started up.

But going by Hans' comment perhaps there were only six leftover bodies that got this treatment?

Whatever the numbers, it is a really gorgeous guitar and I hope someone here gets an opportunity to land it.

So these guitars started off as Fenders and ended up as Guilds.

That creates more questions than answers, at least for me.

Got so more pics up close of the G-75. He said his brother is a player so he will probably gift him the guitar. The strings were old so it hasn't been played for quite a while. It's an OM style so in Guild speak it's a F model of size. 20220919_173604.jpg

Interesting. I thought it was a jumbo. I’d be very interested in buying that small body if it has a 1-3/4 neck. PM sent. I know the other small dread G75 model had a 1-11/16 neck, which I’ve given up on.
