The person that I will be (probably)buy a Tacoma Guild D-55 from told me about this guitar that he owns. It's a Guild G-75r. What kind of permutation is it. Who else has one. I'm sure this has been discussed previously. Anyway, it piqued my interest. IMG_0636.jpg

It is a mini dread. I think it is between and F20 and F30 in size. It has truly great tone and projection for its size. Rare model. I’ve played one and would have bought it in a heart beat if it had a 1-3/4 nut. Buy it if it checks out and the price is right. No doubt someone here will want it if you don’t.

I love it when I wake up at 2 am and end up finding guitars I want here, instead of sleeping. Once I drift off I'll forget all about it. Perfect.....

I've done that once - went to check out a Fender (I think a Duo-Sonic) from a guy. He had an Ampeg Reverbojet there, too. I came home with the Ampeg. :)

The one in the picture looks very different than the G75 I am thinking of. Here are a couple that sold on Reverb. No bling. I don’t know what the one above is, it is much more blinged out.

Just another example of Guild unintentionally recycling a model name. With changes in ownership come gaps in historical knowledge.

Think of the D60.

I do have a G 75. Pretty huge voice for a smaller bodied guitar. Dread, are you sure there were only 6 made?? That doesn't seem right to me for some reason.

Yeah, I don't think that's right. They probably didn't make a lot of them, but I doubt we're looking at HALF of them that were ever made with the three ads above. But I'm not sure how many, though. Maybe post pacemaker implant he can revise that number.

Don't forget about the F40.

I'll tell ya though. That Oxnard F 40 Jumbo Mahogany is a really fine model. I've owned 3 of them at various points. Revently sold my last one because I picked up the Orpheum Jumbo.

The buyer of my F 40 messages me regularly to tell me how thrilled he is with that guitar. I wouldn't argue much, it was a great sounding/playing guitar.

This is lokely a severe veer so I apologize for that Mr. Moderators.
