Looks like something Gru would drive in "Dispicable me".

I was at Watkins Glen for a Track Day w.my MG. I was having a ball, little 4 banger on wire wheels...it was hot, had both windows open but helmet felt like a sauna. Didn't know you had to tighten your spoke....tech inspector almost wouldn't let on track because of two spokes that didn't ping when tapped with a screwdriver....he took pity on me and showed me what to do....and let me borrow the right sized wrench.

Boot was closed but rest of track was challenging enough. Just as I'm feeling like Ronnie Peterson this guy goes blowing by me in a sweeper in his new 1990 Tarus SHO......windows closed, AC on.

Yeah modern cars are impressive.

Miatas are pretty cool....they have a very active forum. I checked it out one day as I wanted to see if they had any "problem with my...." posts like the Jaguar forums. Some, but the overriding tone was one of just pure driving joy. You feel like you're going fast at 30 just heading to the grocery store kind of posts.

Lot to be said for that if you enjoy driving.

That's what I like about my car, sporty, w 5 speed, exhaust has pleasant tone, fairly zippy at any speed, does very well in the urban jungle where I'm at now for a couple weeks, doing the "This old house" gig.

I was just thinking the other day, it's so much fun because I get to wind it out, whereas something with a huge engine you would just have to stay off the gas to observe sane speed limits and deal with needless roadside arrests.

Yeah. It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast one slow. ;)

I use to have the same experience when I had a little red 1999 Subie Impreza L-wagon. Next to my Saab 900, that was my favorite car--zippy, AWD road-grabbing, and all out fun in snow and mud.

I think the same principle about winding small engines to the max applies to motorcycles. Taking a CB400F to the its limits is way more fun than any 1000cc motorcycle where it's limits mean you're flirting with death.

I love station wagons. 1968 Opel.

I've always loved station wagons too, especially fast ones. Something like this would do nicely!

I'll never understand the appeal of SUVs, when you can have something like this.
