So Mrs. Dread is a nurse, she works in the hospital, so that places her in the first tier. Can't argue with taking care of our caretakers first. Her vaccination is scheduled for Dec 26.

Next will come nursing home confined elderly. Can't argue with that either; their populations have been decimated by this thing, to no fault of their own.

Just being your average old guy with some medical issues, I will fall somewhere in Tier 2. And that's OK too; I've been sequestered for the better part of a year now, I can go a little longer I guess.

I'm on immunosuppression meds for a kidney transplant, and I'm old! I'm in the beginning of Tier 2, although I might wait just a bit for others like me to get it and make sure there's no side effects. I, too, am sequestered for the most part.

I'm on the bottom tier by whatever measure and that's fine with me. Happy to be inside away from everyone.

By all means, protect those front-line health care workers first. They’ve been putting themselves in harm’s way on a regular basis.

A retired old guy like me has a lot more control over potential exposure risk scenarios, with the luxury of being able to stay home most of the time.

My wife is a nurse and a medical assistant. So she's on top of the list as well. Her primary job is with Hospise.
I live in an area where there is very few people. My nearest real town is 50 miles away, on the Mexican Border. The closest small city is 100 miles away. I live on 160 acres. My house is in the middle. I have two neighbors within two miles to my east. I have one neighbor about 1.5 miles to my South west. None to my west, north, or south.
If I leave my property to the west it is all state, BLM, and federal land. There is over 800 square miles of Wilderness without humans. About 735 square miles is Federal wilderness. There are no dirt roads, structures etc. So if you like the mountains, nature.... there's always something to do.

I'm looking forward to getting that shot, as I have been working through this pandemic, and my company is busier than ever. I should be somewhere in tier 2, and will get the shot as soon as I'm called.

Like many of us here (it could be most), I am older, 71, and retired. I am lucky enough to be in good shape and take no medication; but I do know how quickly that can change.

I recently saw a poll with health care workers. Forty percent will have the vaccine, thirty will not and thirty are not sure. As of right now, I'm on the fence. I also have never had any flu shots etc.

My son has two young kids, whom he is very protective, I know he won't let me be around them unless I get the shot. I can't fault him. He is tough, like I was only in a gentler but firm way. That may tip the scale.

So I guess you don't get a lot of great-or-treaters?

Sounds like Heaven on earth to me!

Not sure when we get it, but somewhere around "general population" would be my guess.

I'm quarantining right now after testing positive on Thursday - not sure if that kicks me further down the list to get the vaccine since I'll most likely have anti-bodies. I'll get the vaccine as soon as it's available though. I've been lucky, my symptoms were relatively mild (mostly fatigue and body aches) and I'm feeling better every day.

I have some chronic health issues, but have a good handle on them. recieved the email a couple days ago from my medical provider, telling me they will contact me when I am up next. Not something i'm so excited about but will have no choice but to take the shot when my number is called

I think the women’s movement did away with that one, with the exception of burning buildings, icebergs, and Luna guitars.
