I've never seen it as a formal finish color name from anywhere but there, although it's possible it was a new name on an old formula as we've seen before. But only 3 types of 'burst out of Westerly at that time if one includes and the Cherry which was only "standard" on electrics. For that matter think the "Tobacco" was only standard on electrics, too.

All DV52's were Westerly built, see my comment above re standard color names, "Iced Tea" (as a name) doesn't appear anywhere but in Tacoma catalogs, and it's pretty darn light. Think yours will turn out to be an exceptionally light Antique Burst, that was the standard 'burst on flattops in '97.

What does your label say?

I'll betcha a buck it says "DV52-AB" (Or maybe "Ant. Burst") (Only a buck 'cause I ain't a gambling man. 😃 )
You were correct. It shows DV52 AB HG. Guitar showed up yesterday 5/24/2021. Did a quick inspection and.......I’m going to post more pics and give you all more of the story as it is unfolding.

Okay folks,
I received DV52-AB HG guitar yesterday 5/24/2021.
I did open packaging and pulled case out. I briefly opened case ( by this point it had been at room temp for roughly six hours) Upon initial inspection I noticed very old strings which I could see from sellers post. I pulled guitar from case and gave it a quick once over look and this is what I found. A very dusty 1997 Guild. I started with a look at lower bout and I found damage at strap button. Either it was dropped at some point or strap button was aggressively installed. I also noticed a cloudy residue at lower bout area as well. Moving on to back of guitar I found several minor scratches. I then looked at top bass side of guitar and I found one minor scuff. Inspected neck joint and heel area and it was good to go. I moved to top of guitar and I found what I suspected to be finish cracks on either side of where fingerboard makes contact with top ( this made me a little nervous) I really started worrying about cracks in top wood. The rest of top looked solid no issues. I inspected bridge and it was in great shape. I looked through sound hole and did not find any concerning issues (a stray plectrum did fall out) I moved onto fingerboard and nut and headstock, all looked fine for the exception of 24 plus years of not being cleaned. The tuners gold plate was oxidized which I noticed in sellers post as well. So I took a picture of label through sound hole and snapped some photos of areas of concern that I sent to seller. (He stated bought new never played) The damage I found told me otherwise. Seller contacted me this morning and apologized and asked if I would accept a 400.00 refund and I told him that would be fine. For those of you who saw the listing will remember seller asking 1399.00 and I tried to get him to budge and he would not move on price. At this point I have removed strings and I am
In process of performing a much needed cleaning and thorough inspection of interior. I am going to post a couple photos of interior bracing and exterior issues and I will follow up with more of the DV52 story with you all soon. As of this writing I am still very happy with guitar even though sellers statement was not completely accurate. Until my next writing, Take care folks.

Glad you are all squared away on your DV52 and think you will be overjoyed once you put a pick on the new strings. They are great guitars!

Some slightly concerning things, but nothing terrible. That rosewood on the back is STUNNING!! I'm with Stuball, I'll bet that guitar is gonna sing like crazy. And you ended up with a decent price on it. Congrats. Let us know how that first strum with the new strings goes.... (y)

What Tom said.
At least the seller had some integrity and did the right thing, good deal, enjoy!
Yes,
I feel the seller was very accommodating to me and thanks for the reply,
It did wind up being a good deal and I’ve gotta take my Martin to my luthier and he can take a look at the Guild as well and let me know what his thought are about my concerns.
