I can understand someone wanting tattoos as a means of personal expression, more than some of the other "body modification" stuff that is getting more common nowadays.
Recently saw a young woman in a grocery store, who had multiple facial piercings (roughly 10 to 12 locations scattered about her face). She looked like an industrial-accident victim, still full of shrapnel.
Plus, she had those huge open-hole inserts that were stretching her earlobes to eye-watering dimensions. No exaggeration, the openings in her earlobes were about 1.5 inches in diameter.
I couldn't help but wonder if she had opened an old copy of National Geographic , & mistakenly assumed it was a fashion magazine. :shock:
