I've been have a problem with my f512 staying in tune when I put a capo on it. Seems to be mostly the A or B strings. You know 12 strings can be finicky at times but thought new strings might help. I also need to get a proper size capo as I am using a 6 string one for now.

Read alot about drop tuning the 12 string to relieve tension on the neck but that also changes the neck relief, which means you need to adjust the truss rod to correct for buzz. Especially if you have really low action. What am I missing here? I thought the guild 12's were built to take standard...

Just wondering why I've seen strap pins put on the side of a f512 or f412 just above the heel. Does it have something to do with the weight or balance of the guitar? Is there a block or some other inside support. I have my pins put on the lower side of the heel on my martin 6&12 stringers.

Can someone tell me where it was made? Is there any quality issues with it? Found one for a good price. Thanks, Sorry forgot to say it was made in 2008. Seller didn't post ser. no. and I haven't talked to them yet. But I got the feeling that the ones before Fender are better.

Looking at a jf55-12 but it has some small bindind issues on the lower bout. Guitar looks pretty good but I'm scared of the repair and other possible issues. I can't do any of the workso I'd reaaly have to get it for the right price. He's asking 1200.Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated.
