I like F48s a lot too, but they're really hard to find. Is that one yours?

Here's another one on the bucket list, just about as rare as a F48.[/quote:2m8r9h1j]

Sadly, no...still looking for my own F-48...tracked one down a couple years ago, but it sold before I got hold of the owner.

Oh man. Be still my heart!

Beautimous.

Thank you Yetto. She's as light as any D28 or D35 Martin I've ever played and plays and sounds as good or better than either of those or any J45 Gibson rosewood I've ever played, and I have played several of the others........just a tremendous guitar.

Well, I have tried to stay out of this because I have not really played a Guild I didn't like. Also, my collection is not that big and I don't think I have found my favorite Guild yet. If I could only keep one Guild then it would be my D25 hands down.

Yeah I noticed my new D40 was very light feeling the first time I picked it up, and has all the sensitivity and nuance of a fine luthiered guitar.

In years past I always thought many Guild dreads had a certain "heft" to them (which I didn't mind: I just noticed this recent Tacoma-built dread was light and responsive: loud, but still sounds like a Guild). Mine is as light as any Taylor, but speaks with Guild authority.

Tell ya what......about an hour ago, I put down a J45 mahogany Gibson "Special Edition Anniversary". Um, probably sacrilidge here, but that thing just blew me away.......just an awesome sounding and playing guitar........at about $4500  .....think the sticker was $4999, could probably get her for way less than $4000, but a ton of money. She did look and sound just beautiful though. It was a limited edition of 20 I believe.

Don't worry West, I own a Gibson too, I just don't advertise it! Hey, when they're good, they're really good. You sure do have to kiss a lot of frogs to get there, and I've yet to play any J45 that moved me, and I've played a bunch of them. I think there's some out there though...

Oof, that is just too nice. Need another scotch to slow the heart a bit. I still haven't even seen one for sale. :(
