Man West, those inlaid bridge pins really set that barrel off :p I just aquired a Glock .40 a couple weeks ago, but it just does not bling well with my Guild, the darn thing is just to ugly to be in the same photo as my guitar  Of course that is the same thing my wife says about me being in photo's with her.....

Back on track, I currently am reading "Andy & Me", a book about how the LEAN process works in business......I can't get away from work even when I am at home

I just picked up a copy of "How to hit gallon jugs from about 100 yards with pretty fair regularity."

It's a bit long, but hey.......

Hey Jim, speaking of Louis Lamoure, have you read "Last of the Breed"? The one about the Indian who becomes an Air Force Pilot, gets shot down over Russia, escapes, and uses his Indian survival skills to make his way across Siberia and from there across the Bering Straits to get back to the good ol' USA? First one of his books I ever read, back when Tom Clancy was just gettin' started. One of those books you just never forget.
I've read everything else by him I've ever seen since then.
Also a big Larry McMurtry fan. BEFORE "Lonesome Dove" there was "Hud". THERE's a Texas boy who made good. (Larry I mean) :D
Right now reading "Kinch Riley" by Matt Braun. Another western. Pretty decent author. Just like to have a little escapism as I drift off every night.

Well....there's takin' my meds for one thing...then there's taking the morning shower and taking the afternoon nap-
all so I can raise hell for a few minutes on Friday night. And sometimes on Saturday afternoon too.
Then the girlfriend'll pop up with HER demands... do you have any idea how exhausting shopping can actually be? Actually, yeah...I bet you DO!

I have a Glock .40 model 27. Best sights of any handgun I own. Great family/self protection weapon with 135 grain hollowpoint HD loads... A little large for conceal carry unless shoulder holstered under a jacket. Lots of Glock copycats, but only one Glock IMO...

Fabulous shooters Ken....Glocks, I just can't hit a thing with an autoloader.....give me a revolver anyday. I'm the same way with shotguns too by the way. Give me a slidegun and I'm fine, stick a gas operated autoloader in my hands and forget it. I think manual operation makes me aim......or point in the case of a shotgun. I get lazy with an autoloader.

Mine is a model 22, pretty much is too big for conceal carry. Bought it mainly for target shooting and home protection. It's my first Glock, and so far I am really impressed with it. I put a couple hundred rounds through it last weekend and not one hiccup.

I used to think so too when I had a .41 mag Blackhawk that was serious accurate. But my youngest son (30) has a Colt 1911 (1991A1) that somebody must have squoze the slide on to accurize it: I can chew the black center out of a target with that thing. It makes me look good.

Conversely, I had a .40 S&W that shot "all fliers" in my hands.

When I was a kid my dad, brothers and I, all had 12ga pumps. One day dad got a deal on a used Browning Superposed Lightning with a cracked ventilated rib: none of us could hit anything with that! It was so light and we were so used to swinging pumps and Auto-5's that we were always WAY ahead of any target, pheasent, duck, you-name-it!

Funny how that works. And I can certainly relate on the Blackhawk. That particular Super Blackhawk has a 10 1/2" barrell...... :) makes it a tad easier to hit what your shooting at long range. Looks pretty obscene if you try to conceal it though.
