.

.

.

believing the explanation is optional.

The view from the top (where she threatened to throw me off).

Our car in the red circle this time.

I just got caught up on this thread and have one question. Are those red circles hovering all over the state of West Virginia?[/quote:2aibqivb]
Yea Doc, all over the state. You gotta watch out. If one lands on you, as has happened to most folks in West Virginia, it shrinks down and sits around your neck ... hense: rednecks.[/quote:2aibqivb]

Easy guys....WV is where I was born and raised.....

Let me tell something that works, some of you just have to give up your political beliefs:

Go get a couple of window stickers that say: " Insured by Smith and Wesson"

You don't have to own a handgun. But anybody contemplating breaking into your house that thinks you might have a handgun and are willing and able to shoot (even if you are not) will have second thoughts, and go look for easier prey.

Just read prison interviews. Nobody wants to get shot if they can avoid it.

And you can buy a pistol if you want, or maybe not. The @#$#@%^%$$^Q# potential thief will never know unless he decides to find out for sure. And believe this...most of them do not want to find out if you really have a gun and will shoot on sight. So they will go to your neighbor's house instead.

You just have to let them know not to mess with you.

Some years ago I had to take a burglary report from a citizen who had some fool crawl into his apartment through a bedroom window(other than the master, which is where the intended victim was sleeping). Mr Crook made just enough noise that he woke my RP (reporting party) who retrieved his 71/2 in barreled .44 magnum Ruger from the night stand drawer. Mr. Crook, who was now just outside the open bedroom door, heard the drawer and said,"I have a gun." At this point the intended victim caps off a .44 round through the wall where he heard Mr. Crook speak. Crook was not hit but I'm pretty sure that from the looks of the apartments front window and the placement of the footprints going across the apartment courtyard he was the inspiration for the song "Giant Steps"..........

Just one more comment from me. IMHO, nothing strikes fear into the hearts of cowards (such as thieves) than the bark of a large dog! I'm a gun owner too, but KoKo is my first line of defense :D

Now, off to the dog thread! :D

Paddle,

Did the RP's Ruger look something like this? :) The 10 1/2" Super Blackhawk.

Oops, my apologies. I was looking for LTG, that really neat forum about Guild guitars (the best, by the way), and I apparently mistyped and landed on LTG&A, or Let's Talk Guns and Ammo. :?

Have a nice day,
Joe

Similar West, his was smaller. Nothing like a good single action. I'm old fashioned I like Colts. Two favorites, both 3rd gen. A .45 with a 4 3/4 bbl and a 5 1/2 in. .44 spl. I was a big fan of that other Texan, Skeeter Skelton. If I was going to buy a Ruger I'd have to hunt down a short barreled .41 mag. Now that's a handy outdoorsman's pistol.
I guess we could navigate a little closer to the original topic or not. Seems to me we were still discussin' ways of dealing with the sort of folks who would steal your Guild and how to keep them secure

They're not gettin' West's Guild unless they take it from his cold dead hands. Sorry, I just had to throw that in....
