This thread is for when a song gets stuck in your head. Let us know what it is and maybe it can get stuck in our heads, too. 😉

Here's my current one, over and over since Thursday, just one verse.

A gathering of angels
Appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope
And this is what they said, they said
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me.

Etc., etc. Again and again. ⛵

That happens to me often. I hear something on the radio or TV or on this thread and I can’t let go of it. I go to bed with it, I wake up with it. Sometimes the only thing that works is to learn how to play it, sing it or get something else stuck in my head.

My brain is compost for ear-worms.

And now the piece de resistance, think @davismanLV might dig this one:

If Janis was grits'n'hot peppers, Tracy Nelson was the real moonshine, Southern Comfort notwithstanding.

Just as a heads up I am going to close this when the song I consider the ultimate earworm gets posted. As a hint it premiered at the 1964 World's Fair and

In 2022, a 1964 recording was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

They didn't consult with me.

Wife says don't you inflict earworm, then of course goes on to complain about one and wants to share, usually starts with "I can't get this song out of my head" like if was happening to two people at the same time it would make it go away quicker somehow. no thx. lol.

The only known way to get it out of your system is to go through the whole song so there is resolve.

But maybe you want this earworm your head? ;]

What would your therapist say?

Whenever I get an aggravating earworm I start humming this ... works every time. I still have an earworm but it;s a good earworm ... it's a great groove.

That was great. I needed some ZZ Top on my Sunday afternoon!

This song has been stuck in my head for a couple of days. I heard a version done by Margo Price, Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel on an IG reel and it just kept hanging around! :)

I hate to do it but whenever this comes on the radio I have to quickly change it before it infects me.

And don't get me going about how it teaches kids the wrong way to spell "cars"!!

"It's A Small World After All" after visiting Disneyland in Florida in 1980.
That's about the same time I was there, and not long into the ride I wanted to rip the heads off of those freaky little dolls.

I heard of someone on the ride during a malfunction and they were stuck in there for over an hour! Justifiable homicide time.

They didn't consult with me either. Everyone who voted for it should have to ride the Disney ride again and again, until they come to their senses. Shouldn't take more than once.
