"To try and...." instead of "to try to..."

I'm glad you pointed that out, Al. I've never even noticed that one, and I'm quite sure I've made that mistake myself. I'll try and get that right from now on. (sorry, gramps!)

The counterpoint is that gramma was a schoolmarm, and I realized in my mid-teens that no matter how hard you try, "Ya can't fight common usage, gramma".
