Slipped out early I reckon.

The Polara Night Edition
Actually called "Polara Night Edition Tungsten".
US$495 or €599 list price in Europe.

"The Guild Polara Night Edition Tungsten guitar combines timeless design with modern features, resulting in a guitar that stands out on any stage. With its ultra-lightweight ergonomic body and minimalist hardware, this guitar delivers massive resonance and sustained response through its string-through body design."
"The striking colors and finish options reinforce the Polara's unique vibe, perfectly aligned with its rock-ready offset design. Buy the Guild Polara Night Edition Tungsten guitar and feel the power of a no-fuss, rock-ready guitar with a style that won't go unnoticed."

I hope the PU is a Dimarzio super distortion; then it would sound as ugly as it looks.
As far as I found out the pickup is a version of the Guild HB-2 pickup with Alnico V magnets instead of the usual Alnico II magnets. No epoxy and cover and black pole pieces.
Called "HB-2+"

They have "no-name" Rotomatics tuners.

Also the "normal" Polara gets a new color. The "Polara Deluxe Canyon Dusk". I don't know why it is called "Deluxe" as that was the name for the version with tremolo. So maybe because it has the new "HB-2+" humbuckers.

This one has also the new HB-2+ with Alnico V and covers and push-pull coil split.

Open back tuners, not Rotomatics.

Ah, and the normal Polara also gets the HB-2+ humbuckers in the previous colors, now also called "Deluxe".

I think these models will make the discontinued Korean-made S-100s more valuable.

See? The slant tailpiece makes the entire look of the thing. It just doesn't look right without it.

Agreed. Probably cheaper to make just drilling the string holes in the body. My Surfliner has no tailpiece either.

Looks inexpensive to make. Price?
$495 open box on ebay BIN... I have to admit I expected something in the 300s... This is the same cabinet picture that was taken for the retailer that sold me my $345 Surfliner.

Same retailer
Yes, Chazmo - it seems that AllUsedGuitars is a dependable outlet for recent "open box" and refurbished Asian Guilds.

I bought my "back in black" M-75 from them, and I'm having a hard time finding the scuff on its case that made them discount it over 30%..

I’m with Chazmo, I like it. If I tweaked it, I’d make the headstock logo more visible, add a Chesterfield, and it’d be better with a P90 and a pickguard. , only need a volume knob.

Also Korean made is better to me.
Sorry....

Which part of it do you like???

My Surfliner was perfect (well, I think... I've never used the electronics). I think they just put "used" in all their ads. Maybe it's effective as an advertising tool for people seeking a bargain.
