I've got to congratulate Guild. I don't like a single thing about it, and I don't think I've ever said that about any other Guild.

Something about the look of that finish makes me feel like I could tear through it and get at a better-looking guitar inside. Like it's black shrink-wrap or something.

It’s barely an S100. It needs a slant bridge which I think is my biggest beef with the looks.

The S90 had fewer controls, the S50 had one pickup. I’d call that the S5.

I’m with Chazmo, I like it. If I tweaked it, I’d make the headstock logo more visible, add a Chesterfield, and it’d be better with a P90 and a pickguard. But that is electric guitar simplicity right there, in a cool form factor. Just plug in and play, only need a volume knob. Ooh man through a Marshall with high gain, no pedals, low volume get nice clean and then turn up the volume and boom! dirty gritty hard rock. Kinda like the SG Jr which is one of my favorite electrics. And the Dude abides.


Also Korean made is better to me, but million dollar question, How much?

It would look "okay" to me if it said ESP/Ltd on headstock - with so many iconic Guilds from the past they could have re-issued (much to our delight) one wonders what they were thinking..
