GSRs are by definition (at least to this point) limited to ~20 in a series. At this point, if they were to change that I think they'd call 'em something else.
As a potential buyer of a GSR model I would at least save copies / printouts of the Guild Newsletter e-mail, and all the pages on the Guild webpage (once the model is there) as later part of my documentation of that GSR guitar. The webpage might not work in 20 years, but the printout would be still available as file to me. The label in the acoustic GSR guitars at least so far stated "GSR" in the model number. The GSR Starfire VI did not say GSR on the label but had the x of 18 number printed.
There is also a GSR "definition" on the Guild webpage, which I would print out as additional documentation: http://www.guildguitars.com/instruments ... GSR+Series

And congratulations to guildman63 !

All good suggestions, and regarding the label of the Starfire VI you are correct. I intend on keeping my sales receipt as well, which clearly states GSR Starfire VI.

Well, that's the most important to keep, especially for any potential warranty claims later on!

This looks to be my dream guitar. However, at $4K, I'll need a winning lottery ticket to manage it.

Is the depth 2" on this T-500, does anyone know?

The official specs are not yet published on the Guild webpage. But most probably it is around 2".

Really nice to see these sweet GSR series.

What do you folks make of the price difference in the European listing vs the USA? 2499 euro vs $3999 USD?

I already have a call into Willies, now I got to make some money. Any body want to buy a Power Wagon? Thanks John

Atta boy powerwagon, let's just keep buying the GSR electrics! I have now run out of guitars to sell to finance my gas, however, as my Hoboken X-175 and CE-100 aren't going anywhere!

Got mine ordered - couldn't pass it up and I have a birthday coming soon. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until then to open it. Now to figure out what to sell to make up my part of the present.

I'm thrilled to see Guild making some electrics again, and especially some single coil equipped ones at that!

As far as "limited edition", that doesn't factor into my thinking at all - if the company is still in business (or the artist/craftsman is still living) there is nothing preventing them from making another run. See Gretsch Power Tenny for reference.

Congrats Jeff and Guildman63! Getting a quick pair of these new beauties on the way to the LTG fold is not surprising, but indescribably cool nonetheless. Can't wait to see what you both think of 'em.

Don't forget powerwagonjohn. Unless I misinterpreted his post he has one coming (eventually) as well. That makes three quick sales of 20 or 25, and who knows how many others not among us have taken the plunge. Come on fellow LTG'ers, keep them in the family!
